ORDINANCE NO. 3151
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1979-80 TO
PROVIDE FUNDS FOR THE CITY-WIDE EXPANSION OF THE
REFUSE UTU~ITY l S HOME COLLECTION PROGRAM
WHEREAS, pu.rsuant to the provisions of Sect ton 12 of Article I II of
the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council on June 18, 1979, did
adopt a budget for fis~al year 1979-80; and
WHEREAS~ the City has been notified that it will receive a grant in
the amount of one hundred fifty-one thousand ni.ne hundred ten dollars
($151, 910) from the State Solid Waste Management Board for the R,eJuse
Utility's Home Collection Program; and
WHEREAS, the Councj l desires that the Horne Collection Prog:ram in the
Refuse Utility be expanded City-wide;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of <.he CU•: of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as
follows:
SECTION l. The sum of one hundred fiftv-one thousand nine hundred
ten clollarS'($151,910) .i.s appropriated to the Home Collection Program of
the Refuse Utility; and the est1rnated revenue for the Refuse Fund is
correspondingly increased to reflect receipt of grant funds from the State
Solid Waste Management Boa~d.
SECTION 2. The Council finds that this is not a project for pur
poses()f the California Environmental Quality Act and no environmental
assessment is necessary.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effeet.ive immediately as pro
vided-i.n Section 12 of Artic.le I I I .of the Charter and Section 2. 04.375 of
the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
