ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCil .. OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE F'ISCAL YEAR 1979-80
TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR THE H1PROVEMENTS
TO THE UNIVERSITY AVENUE UNDERPASS STORM DRAIN
PUMPING STATION
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12. of Article III
of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Counc.il on June 18, 1979}
did adopt a budget for fiscal year 1979-80; and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto 'Hishe.s to p·rovide funds for the
improvements to the instruments, wiring, and housing in the University
Avenue Underpass that m:·e essential in order to again make that a
viable sto:l--m drai.n pumping system; and
~.ffiEREAS, the costs for performing the necessary improvements and
replacements have proved to be g-reater than the residual funds left i.n

NOW, THEREFORE~ the Council of the Citv of Palo Alto does ORDAIN
as follo\1.78:
SECTION 1. The sum of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000) is ap
propriated -t·o Project 77-53, "Emergency Stonn Drain Improvements 11 and
the Reserve for General Contingency is correspondingly decreased.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective immediately as
proviaea 1n S'ection 12 of Article III of the Charter and Section 2.04.375
of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
