ORDINANCE NO. 3 '174
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMEND!NG THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1979-80 TO
PROVIDE ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR THE CRESCENT PARK I
UNDERGROUND CONVERSION PROJECT
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article
III of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council on June
18, 1979, did adopt a budget for fiscal year 1979-80; and
WHEREAS, the Council has established an underground utility
dis~rict in the area designated as Crescent Park I; and
WHEREAS; the CoQ~cil wishes to assist property owners in
Crescent Park I to underground v.tilitv services across their
property lines; and -~
WHERE..AS, the Council \•lishes to provide these services through
a general contractor;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Counci.l of the City of Palo Alto does
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. The su1n of N:i.nely Thousand Dolla.rs ($90, 000) is
appropriated to the Electric Utilit; Fund and estimk,ed revenue of
the Electric Utility Fund is correspondingly increased.
SECTION 2. The Council finds that this project is exempt for
purposes of the California Environmental Quality Act under Class
1-L and no environmental a.ssessment is necessary.
SECTION 3. This ordinance snall become effective immediately
as provided:ui Section 12 of Article III of the Charter and Section
2.04.375 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
