ORDINANCE OF THE COill~CIL OF ~ CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR TilE FISCAL YEAR 1979-80 TO
PROVIDE FUNDS FOR TilE RECYCLING CONTRACT WITH THE
PALO ALTO SANITATION COMPANY
WliEREAS, pur~uant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article
III of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council on June 18,
1979, did adopt a budget for fiscal year 1979~80; and
WHERE . .A..S, the City of Palo Alto desirea to contract for the
operation ai the Curbside Collection Prog:r;am and the Recycling
Center;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
ORDAlN as follo•,.,rs:
SECTim~ l. The sum of Fifty-seven Thousand Dollars ($57,000)
is appropri-'lted to the Systems Irapro'Jement Program of the Refuse
Operating Budget, and the Reserve for Systems Improvement of the
i.Zefuse Utility Fund is correspondingly decreased.
SECTION 2. The Council finds that this is not a project for
purposesorthe California Envi!:'orunental Quality Act and no environ
mental assessment is necessary.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective immedietely
as provided in Section 12 of Article III o£ the Charter and Section
2.04.375 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
