ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CI'rY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 1973-74 TO
APPROPRIATE $24, 000 TO PROVIDE FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
OF ~iPS FOR HANDICAPPED PERSONS AT CITY FACILITIES
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article
III of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council of the
City of Palo Alto did on June 18, 1973, adopt a budget for the
fiscal year 1973-74; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Palo Alto desires to
provide funds for the coristruction of ramps for handicapped persons
at City facilities; and
WHEREAS, it is estimated that $24,000 is required for step
elimination and ramp construction; and
WHEREAS, this amount is over and above the amount contained
in the budget for 1973-74~
NOW, THEREF'ORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. The.amount of $::il4,000 be transfarred from the
U!t~ppropriated. balance of the Capital Improvement Fund and be
utilized--for Project No. 73.:..99, Ramps_for Handicapped Persons
at City Facilities.
SECTION 2-~ This ordinance shall become effective. inunediately
as provided in Section 12 of Article III of the Charter and Sec
tion 2.04.37S of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
