ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING SEC'l'ION 13.16. 080 AND CHAPTER 21.18 OF
THE PAL0 ALTO MUNICIPAL CODE CHANGING FEES FOR
DIVISION OF ASSESSMENTS; MISCELLM~EOUS DIVISIONS
OF LAND AND SUBDIVISIONS
The Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as fol-
lows:
SECTION 1. ~~ection 13.16. 080 of t.he Pale Alto Municipal Code
is amflnded to read:
"13.16.080 Division of assessments. In lieu of the
procedure provided in Section 13.16.110 and Section
13.16.130 of this chapter for the division of assess
ments, said assessments may be divided upon the written
application. of the property· owner affected in the manner
provided in the Revenue and Taxation Code for the divison
of taxes; provided, however, that any such application
shall be accompanied by a fee of fifteen dollars if the
original lot has been dividee:. into two parcels, or ten
dollars per parcel if the original lot has been divided
into three or more parcels, plus county recording fees.''
SECTION 2. Chapter 21.18 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code
is amended to read:

Filing and checking fees; subdivisions
21.18.010 Filing and checking fees; miscellaneous
divisions of land. The subdivider shall pay the following
fees at the time of filing the xnap indicated:
(a) TENTATIVE OR PRELIMINARY MAP. In every instance
where a tentative or preliminary map is filed for the first
time, the fee shall be ninety dollars.
(b) ru~FILING OF PRELIMINl\RY MAP. Where the filing
of a preliminary map is necessitated by the failur~ of
the subdivider to record an approved final parcel map
within the time limit prescribed by this title and the
refiled preliminary map is substantially identical to said
final parcel map the fee shall be ninety dollars.
{c) FINAL MAP. In every instance where a final
parcel map is filed, the fee shall be forty dollars.

map is filed for the first time, the fee shall be one hundred
seventy-tive dollars.
{b) REFILING OF TENTATIVE MAP. ·. \vhere the filing of a
tentative map is necessitated by the failure of the sub
divider to record an approved final map within the time
limit prescribed by this title and the refiled tentative
map is· substantially identical to said final map the fee
shall be one hundred sixty dollars.
{c) Final Map. In every instance where a final map
is filed, the fee shall be ninety dollars .....
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective upon the
expiration of thirty days from its passage.
