ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 1973-74 TO
INCREASE THE NUMBER OF AUTHORIZED POSITIONS fu~D
PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE POSITIONS IN THE SEWER
UTILITY FUND, REGIONAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL PLANT
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provJ.S1ons of Section 12 of Article
III of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council did on
June 18, 1973, adopt a budget for fiscal year 1973-74~ and
WHEREAS, appropriate staffi~g levels for the Regional Water
Quality Control Plant are required to assure effective operation
of the facility; and
~qHEREAS, based on one year of operating experience, additional
staffing for the facility is necessary;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. The number of positions authori~ed in the \vater
Quality Control Plant is hereby increased by adding one vrater
quality control shift specialist, one maintenance mechanic, water
quality control, and three water quality control plant operators~
SECTION 2. The 1973-74 appropriation for regular salaries
in the Sewer Utility Fund, \'later Quality Control Plant, is in
creased by $49,697; revenues from contracting agencies is in
creased by $28,327; and transfers from the Capital Improvement
Fund are increased by $21,370.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective immediately
as provided in Section 12 of Article III of the Charter and
Section 2.04.375 of the Palo Alto nunicipal Code.
