ORDINANCE NO. 2786 ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO Af.mNDING TITLE 18 OF THE PALO ALTO MUNICIPAL CODE 'l'O ALLOW DWELLING UNITS IN COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL DISTRICTS The Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as fol- lows: SECTION l" Subsection Ca) of Section 18e38~020 (uses per- mitted in the C-1 district) of the Palo Alto Municipal Code is hereby amended to read: "(a) All uses permitted in R districts." SECTION 2~ Subsection (h) is hereby deleted from Section 18e38.020 (uses permitted in the C-1 district) of the Palo Alto Municipal Code., ~ION 3~ Section 1B~38e035 is hen.:.:>y a_dded to Chapter 18~38 (C-1 Neighborhood Business District. Regulat;ans) of the Palo Alto Municipal Code to read as follows: "18~380035 New dwelling units. All of the requirement's of Chapter lBel6 shall apply to any new dwelling units constructed after.May 29, 1974, in thi~ district~" SECTION 4. Subsection (a) of Sectio_n 18040,,020 (uses per mitted in the C-2 district) of the Palo Alto Municipal Code is hereby amended to read: "(a) Uses permitted in R districts." SECTION 5~ Subsection (g) is hereby deleted from Section 18~40~020 (uses permitted in the C-2 district) of the Palo Alto Municipal Code., SECTION 6., SubsE)ction {b) of Section 18.,40.,030 (uses re quiring us;e permits in the c-2 district) of the Palo Alto Municipal Code is hereby deleted, and subsections (c) and (d) a.re hereby redesignated subsections (b) and (c), respectivelyo t '·, ·~ . . , SECTION 7. The Council of the City of Palo Alto hereby finds that enactment of this ordinance will have no signif ic~nt environmental impact~ SECTION 27, ~his ordinance shall become effective upon the expiration of thirty days from its ~ assage.
