SUBJECT:CITY COUNCIL SIDEWALK OFFICE HOURS
This is an informational report providing background for Council discussion. There is no
action required.
DISCUSSION
On September 20, 2002, Palo Alto City Council Members held "Sidewalk Office Hours."
The purpose was to give residents the opportunity to speak with Council Members
informally.
Participation was voluntary. Because of scheduling conflicts, two Council Members
were unable to attend. Participating Council Members were divided into two groups in
two separate locations, Alma Plaza and Farmer's Market, in order to cover different parts
of town and to comply with provisions the Brown Act.
Staff support was provided in the form of scheduling and publicity.
