Since 19116,!he Arts Council of Santa Oaraltas awarded grants 10 \be V=al Arts Program
in support of exhibition programming al \be Cultural Center. The most recent grant is in

The Mythic Narrative. This grant bas hee" received by !he VtSUal Arts Program through !he
Arts Council ol Santa Clara County PARTNERS Program, made possible in part by \be

heen designated for general operating support. 10 provide an ongoing exlubition oppoctunjty

ORDINANCE NO.
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF '!'HE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING '!'HE BUDGET FOR '!'HE FISCAL rEAJ~ 1995·96
TO PROVIDE AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION FOR
'!'HE COMM\]N ITY S ERVr CES PE P AR'I'IIENT TO RECE lYE MA Tell ING GRANT FUNDS
FROM THE ARTS COUNCIL OF SANTA CLARA
WHEREAS, pursuant to tbe provisions of Section 12 of Article
III of tbe Charter of the City of Palo Alto .. the Council on June
19. 1995 did adopt a budget for fiscal year 1995-96, and
WHEREAS.. the Arts Council of Santa Clara County provides
mat-ching grant. funds for exhibitions .. artist and lecture fees,
outreach and public relations materials.. and ~rkshop/6tudio
supplies and materials; and
WHEREAS~ the Visual Arts program was awarded an Arts Council
grant in ~be amount of $6,155 to support the Palo Alto Cultural
Center~s 1995-96 exhibition and education programs.
NOW.. THEREFORE.-the: council of the City of Palo Alto does
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTiON l~ The Bum of Six Tbousar~ ODe Hundred Fifty Five
Dollars ($6~155) is hereby appropriated to non-salary expenses in
t.he Community Services Department, and Grant Revenue is
correspoDdingly increased.
SECTION 2. This transaction -will have no impact on Reserves.
SECTION 3. As specified in Section 2.28.0eO(a} of the Palo
Alto Municipal Code, a two-thirds vote of the City Council is
required to adopt t.his ordinance.
,C:E!j'TQN ... The Council of the City of Palo Alto hereby finds
that the enactment of this ordinance is n~ a project under the
California Environmenta.l c;-uality Act and, therefore, no
environmental impact assessment is necessary.
SECTION S.
Municipal Code ..

this ordinance shall become effective upon
