ORDINANCE OF THE o:JUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1995-96
TO PROVIDE AN ArOITIONhL APPROPRIATION
FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 953D, 'STREET MAINTENANCE'
WHEREAS. pursuant to the p~ov~sLons of Section 12 of Article
III of the Charter of the City cf Palo Alto, the Council on Ju~e
19, 1995 did a~ a budget for fiscal year 1395-96; and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto has an annual street
resurfacing and reconstruction progr~m; and
WHEREAS, currently there is a backlog of stzeet maintenance
projects; and
WHEREAS, the City received $lS8 6 166 in 1994-95 from the State
under its State-Local Transportation Partnersbip Program in
reimbursement for street resurfacing project6 completed for fiscal
year 1992-93;
SOW6 THEREFORE, the Council of t.he City of Palo Alt.o does
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1 ~ The SUM of One Hundred Fifty Eight Thousand Seven
Hundred Sixty Six Dollars {$lSB,766) is hereby appropriated to CIP
Project Number 96.30~ ·Street Maintenance.· The Streets and
Sidewalks Reserve is oorrespoDdingly reduced. This appropriation
increases Project 9b30 frCG'i One l4.illion Six Hundred Eighty Thousand
Dollars ($1,660,000) to -One Million Eight Hundred Thirty Eight
Thousand seven Hundred and Sixty Six Dollars {$1~B3Br766}~
sccrrOH 2. This transa.:tion will reduce the Streets and
Side~alks Reserve from $105,995 to $S41 k ?29.
SECTIQN 3~ As specified in Section 2.~8~080ta) of the Palo
Alto Municipal Code~ a two-thirds vote of the City Council is
required to adopt this ordinance.
SECTION to The Council of the City of Palo Alto hereby finds
that. the enactment of this ordinance is not a project under t.he
