Council wing located at 250 H:uni1loo Avenue.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff =mends 1ha! CounCIl reject all bids received lOr the Civic Center Police and Cooneil
wing reroof.

Council reject both bids.
Staff has spolen with the plan holders and has determlncd several factors which adversely
afleeted the bid incluaUlg the I)'pe of roof spec ilied, the time of year this project was bid, ond
the number of other roofing projects tl-.at the City had out 10 bid at the same time. Contractocs
indicated thaI they bid only 00 the larger projects, according 10 their workload and ability 10
acwmpnsh more than one projeL"l of this size at. time. Stalfwill modify the design package
and rebid this projeL"I next spring. This roo!; although due for replacement. does nO( leak
extensively and will require only minor patching 10 lasl another wi.~ter.
