WHEREAS, siD~e 199C~31, the City Is permitted to annually

adjustment factors; and
WHBREAS, pursuant to GoVelilme!lt. Code Section 37200... the
estimated calculation of the Limit was set forth in the ann:ua.l
b\>dget ot the City for fiscal yea.r 1995-96, which was adopted by
ordinance of tbe Council 00 J~e 19, 1995; and
:iKiREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 91l0, tbe
fiDill. calculation of the Limit has l:>een determined, and the
adjustment factors on whicb the ealCQlation is based are a +4.72
percent change ill California Per Capita Iacome and a .1.7 percent
change in the population growth of the County o·f Santa Clara; and
WHEREAS .. the <iocumen·t&tion used in the determination of the
Limit has been made available to the general public for fifteen
(IS) days prIor to the date ot ~he adoption of this resolution; and
WHEREAS~ according to the final calculation, ~he C~ty's
appropriations subject to limitation is approximately $12 million
less than the Limit;

RESOLVB as follows:
SECTION 1. The Council of the City of Palo '~to hereby
finds that I for fiscal year 1995-96. the final calculation of the
Appropriations Limit <>f the City of Palo Alto has been determined
in accordance ~th the adjustment factors referred to above, the
document:ation used in the determination of t.he calCUlation has been
made available to the general public for the period of fifteen days
as required by law.. and the City"s appropriations subject to
limitation has nee exceeded the Limlt by approximately $12 millioo_
