Since lbe Cooneil'. November 14, 1995 approval of the Museum of American Heritage
(Museum) proposal for lbe Williams house, the Museum has made some clwlges 10 its
proposal concept Due 10 the significan<:c of the changes, staff determined thai the Council
should be informed and its dire<:tion 500gb!, prior 10 proceeding with negotiations on the
opIiaIlo lease. Also" because of possible impacts "" the historic feat-..u-es of !he property,
the revised concept was reviewed by the Hislori.: Resources Board (HRB) prior 10 its
presentation 10 Council. The HRB .. "iewed the revised concept on JIiIy S, 1995, and the
item was 1entaUvely scheduled for CoonciI review on August 1, 1995.
As sta!ed in !be attached July 11.1995 letter. the Museum has requested that Cooncil'.
review oftherevlsedcooceptberescheduled. The Museum Board ofDirecIo<s has decided
10 revise the concep!ual plan in response 10 issues raised by the HRB and 10 resubmit jI io
