The policy is meant 10 emphasize the importance of encouraging gifts 10 the City, promptly acknowledging aod .>q>reSsing appreciation fur them, and assuring the gifts are properly inventoried 0< acoounled for. The procedures for implementing the policy es'.ablish thresbolds at which department heads must notify the City Manager concerning the gifts that have been received by 0< offered 10 the City.
