This report recommends !hat Council award. contract to Satellite Painting, 100. in the amount

RECOMMF.NPATJONS
1. Staff recommends that Coundl approve and aw.bori2e the Mayo< I<> exe..-.rte the at1aChed
conIrac:t with Satellite Painting, Inc. in the amount 0(5135,44.1 to paint the Civic Center
PaWng Garage.
2. Authorize !he City Manager or her designee to negOOate and execute one 0< more change
orders to the contract wi111 Satellite Painting, lnc~ the IoIa1 value O(whkh change order.;
shan IIO! exceed 513,500.

The CMc Center Parking Garage is 2S years old and requires some refurbishing \0 improve its
appearance and ease ofuse. The entire garage interior wall and ceiling cieaning and painting
inc<Jq>orated in Ibis coolract will be 3CCO!lIpJisbed in August and September. The design,
manufudure, and insIa!Iotion of DeW signoge will occur concurrently, but as ~ separate pcoject.
The ovenUI project schedule will begin in mid to late July, with cleaning o(the fIooc surfaces,
and will conclude in o.."1ober, with the installation 0( new graphics and signage in order 10 be
complete befOre the holiday season. Heavy and late rains this past .. inter season deJay«! the
swt 0( Ibis project. The r=dting wet conditioos hod to dry prioc \0 the stan 0( wo<k, but it is
