EXEUmvE. SUMMARy
On September JO, 1992. Coundl approved.m agreemr:nt with Forrell/Elsesser Engineers,
Inc. ror de'igo services. On November 18, 1993, Council awarded a contract 10 l.P.G.
Builders to construct the Civic Center Tower build-oot improvements to the mezzanine and
eighth floors. 'The improvements are now complete, TIle UtHities Department was able to
oc.c:upy the ~ office sp.4ce ahead of schedule and ta'1e project cost is below the project
"'Jdg~t.
The scope of work t.'1Cluded constructing 4700 square feet of office space and restrooms on
!be mezzanine and eighth f...,ors. Appro.,imareiy 231Xl square reet was developed on the
mel.l . ..a.nine floor.and included consL-ucting a floor for the new offlt'c space. remodelling the
elevator lobby, adding resTro·orns and flJfnis.hing [hrel.! ~r;!parale office rtreas direc[ly above
the existing Purchasing. Rc\,cnut Collections and Human Resources office area.
