No. 310 Agreemelll S303624() with Geodesy, • general partnersbip R>r software application
de>elopmelll associated with the Geographic Information Sy.1em (GIS}. This is one 0( three
separate agreements requested fur the contlnuing implementation 0( the GIS. Of the other
two contracts, one is fur hardware and software maintenane and the other is fOr Illllpping.

EXECVTI\'E SUMMARy
The Gc:ograpbic Infonnation System (GIS} was originally approved in August 1989. This
project is a joint effort 0( the Utilities, PubHc Works, and PIa!mlng Departments. A
COIlItaCl for. Citywide ba..<emap was awarcled in April 1993. Applkaoon development will
ease end-user inre"",--rlon wlth the GIS System by developing Dlenu-drlYen .,...ress 10
frequently used ti:nctions. This will reduce the amount 0( mining required 10 use the GIS
System.
