COIIt,,":t with Graphic Data Systems expires June 30, 1995 and a new hardware and software mainlenance agreement is needed 10 provide for the repair and periodic servicing of the GiS hardware (DEC equipment); for updates to the softw.,-e (VMS, GDS, PCi and 0raI:\e) as 1hey are developed and released; and the 800 Hell> u,"le Support. Graphic Data Systems Corporation is the exclusive SOUrce for maintenance 0( the City's GiS, because they are !he develcjJor o(!he CiI)"s GIS System and !hey are the only source with the technical expertise 10 maintaifi the turnkey system. Therefore, a competitive bidding procedure is ll(l( required.
