Bid requests were mailed to five contractors. Three bids \vere. received on October II, 1994 (Bid Summary Sheet b'hibit 'B" is attaChed). Based on the low bid, relevant work txpenence, a.nd 8 rt:virn' of referen~es, staff recorruneou.s that the contract be awarded to B & B Wodscape Con=ors, Inc. FISCAL IMPACT. The ~ budget in !he FY 1994-95 Electric Fund, Substation Facility Improvements, Capital ImJlfO\'ClDCIlt Program in the "",aunt of S90,OOO is for a few relatively small pro}ccts. The <OS! of the iaDdsaping at Hansetl Way Substation was nol originally included in !he budge!, The funds are now not sufficient to provide funding for thi, l"0ject 8.' p\l!Uled in the original work scheduied. Accordingly, an appropriation of 5)0,000 from the El""tric Ra:e Stabilization Reserve is nee<led to fund this project.
