REQUEST
Thls is an infonnational staff report that identities the status of the CiD.' B.oard and
Commis.sion revi(.'!w afCOInprehctlsive Pian Draft IV Po!.ici(:s and Pn)gram5 and I;lf(}\'ides
a proposect meeting schedule fol' City Council re\'iew of Draft lV.
RECOMbU:NDATIONS
No City Council action is requested at this time. Confirmation of the Council's meeting
schedule should occur as part of the November 7 or 9 initial disc1.Jssions of CPAC and
related Board and Commission recornrnelJdations.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
PlannjnG Commission Rel/iew: The Planning Commission's review ofCPAC's Draft IV
recommended Comprehensive Plan goals, policies and programs started with a public
hearing on October S. Public comments were completed before IO:(){) p_m_ 'The Planning
Commission devoted their October 6, 12) 13 and 18 meetings to a mpid dccisi{)n.making
process involving a minimal arnou.nt of Cummission diaiogue and debate. In total, it took
the Commission approximate!)' 17 hours to complete their review, in addition to the public
hearing.

hearing. In any event the September 30 staff report is the primary repurt for transmission
of Crty staff comments and recommendations on the CPAC work product .
