ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF T"dE CITY OF FALO ALTO AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1994-95 TO PRO'i'IDE AN ADDI'rIONAL APPROPRIATION FOR THE LrSRARY DIVISION OF THE CCI1Mt;NITY SE1/.VlCES DEPARTIoIENT IN RECQG[HTION OF RECEIPT OF FUNDS FRO!( THE P'"JBLIC LIBRARY FUND OF THE STATE LIBRARV Wk~REAS~ ~rsuant to the prcv~s~~jS of Section 12 of ~Jticle III of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto~ th~ Council o~ J~~e 20~ 1994 did adopt a budget for fiscal year 1994-95; a~~ WHEREAS, the State's Public Library Fund distribctes funding thr0U9h the Stat.e Library to be used by local jurisdictions for any library-relat~d'purpcse except building construction; and WHEREAS, the City"s Library Division of the Community services Department applied for and re~eived a 9rant from the State Library~5 1994-95 Public Library Fund to be u5~d for the study of current and future library service3~ progra~s and facilities based on nev information systems and technical opportunities; and ~# ~he grant received from the State's Public Library Fund is $19,815. NOW... THEREFORE,. the Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as follows: SECTION 1. Grant Revenue is increased by the sum of Nineteen Thousand Eight H'~ed and Fifteen Dollars ($19,.815' in the Library Civision for raceipt of P..Jblic Library funds~ SEC"tiCN 1. The sum of $13.815 is hereby appropriated t.o the Library Division in the following categories of expenditure: Contract $er,ices ($17 1 50'0) and Suppli~5 and ~ateria.ls {$2.3l.5}. SECl'TQN 3.
