The RFP does not commilthe City to hiring a consultant. At'..,r reviewing !he proposals, staff will make a requesllo the City Council for funding a contract to retain the consultant with the best proposaL In the RFP. the City is stcldng a qualified teleromrnunications consultant to perfann task> in several phase, that will enable the Cery to determine what ro\e. if any, it should play in providing communication services to the citizens and businesses of Palo Alto.
