To cootinue addressing ongoing cluld care issues in Palo Alto, !lie Child Care Task F<>rce
hu proposed the formation of an adv;wry committee 10 replace !lie Child Care Task
Force. One of the functions of thls groop woold be to prO".ide • stnJ<:ture for !lie Palo
Alto chIld care community to give input lO me City on -child care matten in Palo Alto.
Tne Child Care Ad'v;sory Committee woold' be charged with adv;sing City staff in
formulating policy recommendations 10 !lie City Council and o!bu City commissions,
boards, and task forces.

The CItiId Care Advisory Committee will be advisory 10 !be City Manager. The
Advisory Committee will initially be composed ol community members who use child
care in Pa!<> Alto, child care providerS. the director ol PA USD Chlld DevelopmeJll
Centers, the Executive Director from Palo Alto C<>mmc nity Cluld Care, !he Child Care
Oulreacll Coord"mator for The Children', Health Council, and a Human Rel.6oru
Commissioner. The Committee will meet on • 'lumedy basi. and will work closely with
!be Ck'fs Cluld Care Coo<dinator and o<her City Boa,ds and Commissions. All annual
report will be s~>bmitted to !he City Manager on !be Committee's progress IOward
