The contract \'1il1 be in the amcunt of $56 1 250.00 -and the funds are included in the FY 1994-95 Utilities Operating Budget. Thia is one of three separate contracts requested fm: the continuing implementation of the GIS. Background The Geographic Xnfol.'1rlation System (OrS) was originally {o!pproved in August 1989. Thie project is a joint effort of the Utilitiea, Public Works, and Planning Oepartments. A coutl."act [or a City­ wide basemap was awarded in April 1993. Application development will ea('le end user interaction with the GIS System by doveloping a menu-driven access to frequently used functions. This will reduce the amount of training required to use the GIS System. Charles Eitzel, a partner of Geodesy, has been closely involved with ,the City from the initial benchmark testing with McDonnell Douglas to hi.s current contract for application d.evelopment and CMR:323:94 databas~ design. under'standing of source contract.
