This repOl"t also requests that Council authorize the City Manager, or her design~c to exercise the option for an additional year of sweeping services during J.995 in the amount of $15,181.80. Funds are available in the FY 1994-95 operating budget. DisCU69iou Under this agreement, City garage floors and pat'king lots in the University Avenue and California Avenun downtown al:cao will be swept weekly. The University Avenue underpa8s~ including specified walkways, stairways, and pedestrian ramps, also will be ,"wept once a week. The parking lots and connecting driveways at Cubberley School will be swept twi~e d month. During FY 199:2-93, staff requested bidR for performjng the 199.) sweeping "services and issued a short-form agreement in the amount of $15,181.80 to the lowest responsible bidder, Universal S ..... eeping Services, for the 1993 project. The original request for bidG. also included furnishing bid prices for 1994 and 1995. Because the additional ~wo yean"~ of work: would exceed the threshold amount requiring Council authority, staff requests that Council approve the attached agreement in the amount of $15,181.80 and grant autho:tity to exercise the option for year three of the hid in the amount of. $15 ,181.80.
