This is an information report~ and no action is required. This
report informs Council of the recent appointment of Gail Wooley as
a Director of the Palo Alto Public Improvement Corporation.
The Palo Alto PUblic Xmprovement corporation was orqanized by the
Council as i!l nonprofit organization in 19B3 as a mechanism to
facilitate the financing of i~ovements to the Civic Center.
Article III, section 5, of the Palo Al to Public I:mproven-ent
Corporation Bylaws states· No Director {other than the
Directors on the first Boaro. of Directors) elected or appointed
shall he de&med to be qualified for the office of Director if the
name of such Director is disapproved by the City council of the
City of Palo Alto, california~ within 30 days of receipt by the
City council of the name of such Director.-
In September 1991 1 Gail Woolley was elected to complete the term of
Frank Patitucci l which expired in 1993. During the annual meeting
of the Palo Alto Public Improvement Corporation on October 13,
19i3~ Ms. Woolley was appointed to a second term? which will be for
four years.
The Board of Directors of the Palo Al to PUblic Improvement
