The purpose of the nama change is to CO\'rmemorale the City' $ centennial and to proVide" an appropriate set"ting tor display of bronze plaques containing the names of donora to the centennial effort.' Ms. Davey inditated that she would'~ork with the owner of the University Arts building iocated at 261 Hamilton Avenue to secure permlssion to affix the no'", street sign' on the wall adjacent to the donor plaques. This request-was forwarded to the Street Names Corrrnittee of thE:l PalO. Alto Historical Association, which rec(){'{Wends in favor of the requested street name change (letter attached). RBSOLUTION OF TIlE C<.lUNCIL OF TIIB CITY OF PALO AL'I'O CHANGING THI1 NAME OF A CITY ALLBY TO CENTENNIAL WALK WHEREAS, the City of palo Alto (the ·City") has rec-eived a request to consider changing the name of the City alley currently known as Lane 12 Bast to Centennial Walk, and the individual making the request has agreed to provide a location on an adjacent building to erect. a new street sig;) to reflect the name changej and WHEREAS, in compliance with City Policy and Procedu~e 1~16, the' Street.
