No. S2C24790 for Lombard.o Core Drilling, Inc. tor saW' cutting
services FY 1993-94 in the amount of $48,050.
Backgrpund
In Saptember 1991, staff requested quotes for saw cuttinq services.
QUotations were requested tor FY 1991-92, FY 1992-93 and FY 1993-
94. Contract eKtensions were to be made based on approved funding
for each fiscal year and the contractor's performance durinq the
previous fiscal year.
A contract with Lombardo Core Drilling, Inc. ~as awarded on August
20, 1991 in FY 1991-92, with the option to renew for the second ~nd
third y.ars~ The contract was not submitted at that time to the
City Council for approval p since the contract amount was $25,000 or
less and within the City ~nager's approved authority~ During FY
1991-92, the contractor proved to be very professional in his work
and staff is satisfied with the services provided4

1. Approve and authorize th"e Mayor to execute the third year
of the contract in the a~ount of $48,050.00 tor
P'i 199]-94' and
2. Authorize the City Manaqe~ or her designee to negotiate and
execute one ol..~ more change orders to the contract with
Lombarao Diallond Core Drilling the value of which chanqe
orders shall not exceed $4,800~OO for FY 1993-94.
