Members of the Council:
Palo Alto Municipal Code Sectio~ 22.0~.030 gives the City Manager
authority to implement a reqlllation upon commencement of the 15th
day follo .... ing notice to the cit~· Council. This report constitutes
the required notice to Council concerning the regulation
prohibiting volle}~ball at the Multi-tJse Bowl at RiMconada Park.
This is an informational report and no COUncil action is required.

At the council meeting of April 12, 1993, recommendations aimed at
reducing the overuse and overcro""ding at Rinconada Park -were
presented for approval. At that time .. notice .... as given to the
Council that, per Palo Alto MUnicipal Code Section 22.04.030, the
City Manager was providing notice of the i!l'lple;n~ntation of a
regulation prohibiting vollejiball throughout Rirlconada Park. At
that timE!. Council gave the City Hanager discretion~ with respect to
the nUtliber of locations within the park 2'_t .... hich volleyball would
be proh i_bited.
Therefore, this report constitutes the required notice to Council
that the re<;fulation prohibi. ting volleyball in the Mul ti-Use Bowl at
Rinconada Park will take effect 15 days from April 19, 1993.
