Members of the Ccuncil:
The HU1!1an Se-rvices oh'ision staff and the Human Relations Commis
sion (liRe) forward the following reco!!'1_!t1endatians for HUMan Service
Contract Funding far Fiscal Year 1993-94.
Staff and the HRC recommend a three percent incredse in the total
amount of funding to be made availabl~ for HUman Service contracts
for Fiscal Year 1993-94~ The three p~rcent Cost of Living Adjust
ment is based on the Consumer Price Index (C.P.I.} yea~-end figure
{December 1992). The recommendation increases the funding from th~
current year amount of $912,750 to $940,13-3, an increase of $27,383
for Fi~cal Year 1993-94.

work. force.

Provide.s tuition subsidy of $2E.3~OCO. -e.dminis.tratio:.re s'.lpport of
$70,000, homeless child care provision cf $7,500 and $5,000 toward
school-age transportation costs •

component of the federal CD8G program and the city's Huma.n Services

to apply to one source only.
Agencies, previous.ly funded by both sources~ that .... 'ere directcd to
the city~s HUman Services Resourc;; Allocation Process include
PAAIRS and the Senior Coordinating Council; those directed to the
CDBG funding process include Catholic Charities~ Urban r-1inistry and
Emergency Housing consortium~
