Hid-Peninsula Access Corporation began cablecastinq City Council and council committee meetings in september 1989; in December 1989, Cour.cil approved the addition of cablecastinq of the Planning commission meetings; and. in August 1992, the Council approved the addition of cablecasting of the utility Advisory commission meetings. In FY 1992-93, the city Council approved a contract 'With !(PAC to cablecast City council committees, and Planning and Utility Advisory Commission meetings held in the council Chambers and Council Conference Room, up to 550 hO'..Jrs for $41,250. At the Council meeting of June 22, 1992, Council approved a budget increase of $4,500 to the Information Resources operating bu~qet to cover th~ increased cost of cablecasting the. .\rchi tect\lral Review Board meetings ~ At the same meeting, Mayor Fazzino requested that staff review all City Council, committee, commission and Board meetings to see if additional meetings could be cablecast~ Staff was also to contact the Palo Alto Unified School District (PAUSD) to determine their interest in using the council Chambl!-rs to have the School Board meetings cablecast. Staff reviewed all council, Committee, commission and Board meetings for the date, time, and location of their meetings. Staff also contacted PAUSD Superintendent Jim Bro .... n to discuss any interest in having the PAUSD Beard J:i.ectings cablecast.
