This report requests council to authorize an amendment to tha contract
with Mid-peninsula Access Corporation (MPACj for cablecastinq services
to add cablecasting of the Architectural Review Board (ARE) meetinqs at
an additional cost of $4,500. This incraases the total contract price
from $41,250 to $45,750. Funds are p~ovided in the 1992-93 Inrormation
Resources Departlslent. operatior.. budget.
KPAC beqan cablecastinq City Council and Council Committee meetinqs in
September 1939; in December 1989, Council approved the addition o.f
cablecastir~ of the Planninq Commission meetinqs; and in August 1991,
the Council approved t.he. addition of cablecasting of the Utility
Advieory commission meetings:.
In py 1.992-93 the City Council approved a contract with MPAC to
cablecast City Council committees (Finance and Policy and Servic~5), and
Planning and utility Advisory Commission meetings held in the Council
Chambers and Council Conference Room, up to 550 hours tor $41,250. At
the Council meeting of June 22, 1992, Council approved a budget increase
of '$4,500 to 1:he Information Resources operatinq budget to cover the
increased cost of c~blecastinq the ARB meetings.

Staff recommends that council authorize the amendment to the contract
with HPAC for cablecasting all ARB meetinqs in FY 1992-93 in the amount
of $4,500, increasing the contract price from $~1,25Q to $45,750 and
authorize the City Manager to approve amendments or other modifications
to the FY 1992-93 MPAC contract for cablecasting of other commission or
committee meetings as approved by the Ci!~.. counCil ..
