Attached to this report is a letter from Community ~Dusing Incorporated (C~I,
Inc.' withdrawing their request for an extension to the effective date
deadl ine for Ordinance 4053. Ordi nance 4053 establ ished the Pl anned COITlmmi t,)l
zone whic~ will allow for the construction of the 51-unit Lytton IV Senior
Housing project at 330 E· ... erett Street. The extension request had been
continued from the M~rcn 5, 1992 Cou~cil meeting.
Staff has reviewed the ~Section 202 Program for the Eld~rly Selections
Report for Congressional and IntergGvernmental Relations· from HUD and has had
numerous con~ersations with HUD officials and congressional representatives.
Sufficie~t information is available to determine that the conditions of
Section 5 of Ordinance 4053. which requtred that the appl1cant receive a
notice of funding selection prior to Marcn 3D, 1992. have been satisfied and
th! Ordinance will be effective en the thirty-first day after Marcn 30, 1992.
No additional Council action is necEssary.
