The cost for this contract will be $54,805 and the fundinq is jointly provided in the YY 1991-92 operations budget by the Public works Department and the Utilities Department. Bapk9%'ound In June 1987, 1988 and 1989, Council funded the GIS/CAD System as part of the f''{ ~981-88,. FY ~988-89" and " 1989-90 Capital Z.provement Programs. This is a joint project between the Public works J Utilities, and Infore.ation Resources Oeparta:.ents. Contractor services were necessary to assist staff in ~esiqninq and procuring-the necessary system hardware and software to support the completion of this phase of the GIS/CAD System. The system hardware and software will allow the conversion from the present manual mapping system, (city's block maps and Utilities distribution system maps) into a fully computerized system.
