(This is due 10 the decline in sales tax revenues in the Olunty, from which IDA funds are derived). Santa Clara County', share of ST A funds is $406,260. RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO AUTHORIZING THE FIL!NG OF AN APPLICATION WITH THE IIl!TROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION FOR ALLOCA TION OF TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT/STATE TRANSIT AsSISTANCE FUNDS FOR HSCAL YEAR 1991-92 WHEREAS, the Transportation Development Act (aTDA-) ~ as amended (Public utilities Code f 99200 et seq.), provides ~or the (Uaburseaent of funds trOll the Local Trans.portl!ition Fund C-LTP-J of the County of Santa Clara for use by eliqible applicants for the purpose of providinq community transit service5~ and WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the TDA, as amended, and pursuant to the applicable rules and regulations thereunder (21 Cal. Code of Regs. I 6600 et seq.), a pr-ospective applicant wishing to receive an allocation from the LTF shall file its claim: with the Metropolitan Transportation commission; and WHEP.EAS, the State Transit Assistance (·STA·) fund is created pursuant to Public Utilities Code s~ctions 99310 et seg~. and WHEREAS .. the STA fund :make.s funds available pursuant to Public Uti1ities Code section 99313.6 for allocation to eligible applicants to support approved transit projects: and ~, TDA funds from the LTF of santa Clara county and STA funds will be required by the City of Palo Alto in fiscal year ~991-9.2 .tor the purpose of providing subsidized taxi and accessible van services for elderly and disabled persons who are unable drive or use public transit~ and W8EREAS, the City of Palo Alto is an eligible applicant for TDA and/or S'l'A funds pursuant to Public Utilities Code sections 99275 and 99313 as attested by the opinion of counsel dated March 26, ~991 ..
