The purpc~e of this informational report is to transmit the 1991
A."'lnual Report of the Palo Alto Centennial 1994, Inc~ not-far-profit
corporation to Ci~y Council. No Council action is required.
Discl.Ission
The Palo Alto cEntennial 1994, Inc. not-for-profit corporation has
been established (October 31, 1991) bJ~ pr-ivate citizens appointed
by the City Council to plan the Centennial celebration. The
Corporation is not an agency of the CitYr nor is th€ City liable
for its debts and obligations. HO\o/eve_r, the citj' Council maintains
ultimate control over the policies and actions of the Corporation
through its authority to appoint and rE'.move directors.
During the 1991 calendar/fiscal year I the seven members of the
Corporation Board of Directors have worked diligently to prepare
for the City's Centennial in 1994. Their report of its activities
for the year is attached for the City Council IS information.
To date, the Corporation h3S neither begun
activities, nor opened its mm banx account.
Corporation funds reside in the City treasury.
