ORDINANCE NO.
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF 1'HE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AKENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1990-91 TO PROVIDE
AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION FOR THE HUMAN SERVICES cIVISION OF
THE COJOruNI1''i SERVICES DEPARl'HE!I."T AND TO PROVIDE FOR RECE1PT
OF CERTAIN GRANT FUNDS
WHEREAS~ pursuant to the provisions ot section 12 of Article
III of the ~harter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council on June
18, 1990 did adopt a budqet tor fiscal year 1990-91; and
WHEREAS, the Teachers Fund or the peninSUla Community
Foundation and the Valley Foundation of the Community Foundation of
Santa Clara County have awarded grant funds to the city unde~ the
auspices of the Palo Alto Task Force tor Dis~bility Awareness; and
WHEREAS, the Rumen Services Division in conjunction ~ith the
Disabllit.y Awareness Task Force and Human Relativns Commission,
dellires to ~e these grants to fund an agreement for the production
of a video to address the educational enyironment fo~ children with
disabilities;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the city of Palo Alto does
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. The sum of Four Thousand Dollars ($4,000) is
hereby approp:riated to Contract services in the lfuman Services
!>ivision of the Community -service.s OepartmEnt and other Revenue:
From other Aqencies in the Human Services Division is
correspondinqly increased.
SECTION 2. The Council of the City of Palo Alto hereby finds
that the enactment of this. c:rdinance is not a project under the
California Enviroruaental Quality Act and, therefore, no environmen
tal impact assessment is necessary.
SECTION 3.
