For 14 street segments (Attachment 3) the previous 'engineering and traffic'
surveys were conducted II 1985. Thes. surveys will explr. on October 15. 199O.
II addition to these 14 street segments, the Police Departllent requested that
the .s •• f radar for speed enforcement purposes be eval •• ted on an additIonal
30 street s.gments (Attachment 4).
Speed suryey data were collected on .11 .r the 44 street segments to detenolne
the speed Ilslt IndicatIons based on the 85t~ percentIle speed. The analysis
of the speed survey data (not IDcludlng roadside conditlons and accidents)
Indicated that the speed 11.lt based On the 85th perceotll. sp.ed on 30 street
segments Is S ~ph 'Igher t~an the curr.ntll posted speed limit (Attacbment 5).
and 10 apb or more on 14 street segments (Attachment 6).

Code is bereby amended to read as follows:
