HONORABLE CITY COUNCIL
Palo Alto, California
APPROVAL OF 1990-91 GOLDEN TRIANGLE TASK FORCE
AND GOLDEN TRIANGLE COMMUTER NETWORK BUDGErS
:Members of the Council,:
Tbe Golden Triangle Task Force rmplementaticn Agreement
previously approved by the City Cour~il requires approval by each
participating jurisdiction of the annual budget for the Golden
Triangle Task Force and Golden Triangle Commuter Network.
The attached letter from Michael Evanhee, Executive Director of
the Golden Triangle Task Force, transmits the 1990-91 budgets for
city Council approval. As noted by Mr. EVatihoe, it is
anticipated that the Golden Triangle Task Force will disband in
1990-g1 because of the creation of The County congestion
Management Pla~ing Agency (CMPA]. It is also anticipated that
the Commuter Network 'Will be incorporated into the CHPA~ Th-u.s
billing to Palo Alto and other jurisdictions for the Task Force
ancl Commuter Network will be for a six-month period, e.ven though
the budgets reflect potential full-year operatIons.
On an annual basis, the City's share of the Task For~e budget is
$2S,OOO and of the Commuter Network budget, $115 M2C2. These
funds 'Were incorporated into the 1990-91 City budget.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the city council adopt a motion approving
the 1990-g1 budgets for the Golden Triangle Task Force and Golden
Triangle Commuter Network.
Respectfully S~bmi~ed~
