AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 37.202 OF CHAPTER 37
(ORDINANCE NO. 2231) OF TH~ PALO ALTO MUNICIPAL
CODE BY ESTABLISHING UNDERGROUND UTILITY
DISTRICT NO. 4
The. Council of the City of Palo Alto, California, does
ordain as follows:
WHEREAS, this Couricil did on April 3, 196f, adopt its
·~esolution of Intention No. 3982 to establish Underground Utility
Distric·t No. 4 in said City and apjiointed Monday,. the 22nd day of
May, 1967, at the hour of 7:30 b'clock P. M. in the Council
Chambers, City Hall, Palo Alto, California, as the time and place
of hearing protests and receiving evidence for and against said
proposed action and directing notice;
WHEREAS 1 notice was given of the time anp place therein
stated in the· ma,nner provided by law, as .appears from the affi-

WHEREAS, said matter came on regularly for hearing at the

Palo Alto Municipal Code is amended by adding Subsection {d)
thereto, said Subsection (J) to read as follows:
"{d) District No. 4. All lands adjacent to El
Camino Real from Matadero Creek to the southerly Clty
· limits of the City of Paio Altof removal in the case
of' communication and similar or associated services by
February l~ 1968; removal in the case of electric and
similar or associated services within one year from
the date of the completion and acceptance of' the pro
posed il~provements on El Camino Real to be. constructed
by the State of California pursuant to that certain
agreement between the State and the
1967, ·additional notice to be given and hearing held
after said com1Hetion date has been determined. 11
3 o The "Underground Utillty District MB:ps" referred to in
said Section 3'7.202 shall be amended to add the; areas ~hown on
the map referred to in said Resolution No. 3982, as modified at
said hearing.
4. This Ordinance shall become effective upon the e~pira
t ion of' thfrty { 30) ' days.· from its passage.
