ORDI~ANCE NO. 2355
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
ADDING SECTIOK 7. 14. TO THE PALO ALTO MUNICIPAL, CODE
PROHIBITING IMPERSONATION OF CERTAIN PUBLIC OFFICIALS
The Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as
fol.lows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 7 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code
is hereby amended to add a Section 7.14 to read as follows:
_"SEC•--7~ 14 IMPERS.ONATING .P.UBLac OFFICIALS PROHIBITED.
. No person shall falsely represent himself to
be ~ public officer, inspector, deputy, clerk or
other employee or agent .or agency of·the City of
Palo Alto, any other city,· or any other governmental
agency not covered bi the terms of Penal Code Sect·ion
146a, and in such assumed_pharacter:

· -· a. Threaten or intimidat:°e any person, or
purport or thre.aten to arrest any
person. or

obtain entry to or search any premises, or
·. s·earch any person or the property of any
·per.son;· or· atte.:npt---to~niake any-·such~entry~·=--···

c. Obtain or attempt to obtain money, property
or other-thing of value, or

purpose.
