\ ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF ntE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 1966-1967 TO
MAKE AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION FOR STORM DRAINS

IMPROVEMENT (PROJECT NO. 66-10)
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of.Article
III of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council did on
Jul~r 11, 1966-adopt ~ budget for the fisc.'11 year i966-67; and
WHERF_t\~,~ the Council d_id _oil: Jl11Y il, 1966 appropria_~e __ .$t+22, 500
to begin Stage I of the Storm Drains Improvement (Project No. 66-10)
as rec0mmended by Brown and Caldwell, Consultants; and
WHEREAS, the Council wishes to.expedite Stage I of the Storm
Drains Improvement; and
WHEREAS, the Council wishes to undertake the installation of
pumping stations on Matadero and Adobe Creeks, the total estimated
·cost of which, including _engineering services, st:rveying and an .
emergency generat_or, .'i.~ .~6~0,,.5_00 .•

NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does

ORDAIN as 'folJcws:
SECTION 1. That the $um of TWo Hundred Eighteen Thousand
Dollars·· ($218,000) be additionally appropriated in the ·Capital improve-·
meat Fund from the unexpended balance of the Capital Impi:'ovement Fund
making the total appropriation for Project No. 66-10 to be $640,500.
SECTION 2. That this ordinance, being an ordinance required to
be passed for the purpose of complying with the Charter, shall be
come effective immediately.
