ORDfNANCE OP THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO AI.TO
APP_ROV!NG AND ADOPTING A PLAN FOR THE DEVELOPMENT
OF FOOTHILLS PARK BOAT DOCK AND OVERLOOK IMPROVE-
--MENTS I PROJECT NO. 63-·9
WHEREAS, Section 5 of Article VIII of the Charter of the
City of Palo Altd requires that before any substa~~ial buildirigf
construction, r~construction or deyelopment is commenced or
approved upqn or with respect to any land held by the· City for
park purposes the coun-Cil,shalf first cause to be prepared_artd
by oidinanC:e approve and adopt a plan therefor; and
WHEREAS, -the City council did, by Ordinance No-. 2252,

adopted September 23, 1965, J.>lace Foo~hills Park on the list of'. -
lands used or-intended to be used for park purposes: and
WHEREAS, the council proposes to proceed with development
of_ f'6o.thills Park Boat Dock and overlook Imp1~ovements within
said park pursuan~ to a plan prepared therefor.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council o·f the Cicy of-Palo Alto "does
ORDAIN-as follows:
SECTION 1. That the plans attached hex-eto,. marked EXHl;BIT A,
identified as Boat Doclt 'Faciliiy, Location-J?lan, Pian ancf Elevations

(sheets 1, 2 and 3) f an~, Vista .. _H~ll overlook {sheets 1 and 2)
be and the same hereby are approved and adopted.
SECTION'2. This ordinance shall become efiective up0n the
expiration of thirty ~ays from its passages
