ORDINANCE OF 'i'HE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
A!IBNDING CHAPTER 9 OF THE PALO ALTO MUNICIPAL CODE
REGULATiNG BILLIARD AND POOL ROOMS, CARD ROOMS,
AND BOWLING ESTABLISHMENTS
follows:
SECTION l. Chapter 9, Billiard and Pool Rooms, Card
Ro4")ms, and Bowling Est~l:>lishment$~ of the Palo Alto.Municipal
Code is·. hereby amended a.s set forth in EXHIBIT A attached
hereto and made a part hereof by reference.
SECTION 2. ·This ordinance shall beconF; ·effective upon
the expiration of thirty days from its passage.

GENERAL REGULATIONS

a. Orderlv Conduct Required. All places to which the
public resort 'tor the _lawful playing of pool, billiards,
_ cards, and/or bowls s_hall be conducted in a quie.t .and

SEC. 9.03 MINORS .. ON PREMISES
a._ Gene,ral Provisions. It.shall be unlawful for any
minor t9 · i5e. -upon the premises of any. card room,· billiard
or pool _roomf, or bowling establishment, and no person owning
or operating any such place' shall.permit any minor to be
up'on such' premises, except as provided in this sectioµ. Tllis

b. Card Rooms. No minors shall be permitted at any
time in any card room.

older may be permitted upon the premis_e~ at any time it is
open to the public.
(2) Minor.s at least. 16 years of age,-but 'under 18
years of age, may be permitted upon the premises from 8:00 a.m.
until 12:00 midnight. ·
. (3) Minors under the age of 16 years may be permitted
upon the premises until 10:00 p.m.
