ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 1966-1967 TO MAKE
AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION FOR SALARY ADJUSTMENTS
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article
III of the Charter of the City of _Palo Alto, the Cciuncil did on
July 11, 1966 adopt a budget for the fiscal year 1966-1967, and
WHEREAS, the Cotlncil has adopted a Compensation Plan to
become e~,fective July 4, 1966 and the Council desires to· make an
additional appropriation in excess of the total appropriation made
by sai'1 budget t() effectuate_ said Compensation Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, the council of the City of Palo Alto DOES
ORDAIN as follows:
_SECTION 1. That the sum of Thirty-·.~ _·9 Thousand Dollars
($32,000.00) be appropriated in the Contingencies Account of the
General Fund.
SECTION 2. That the City Controller is hereby authorized
and dir2cted to transfer from said Contingenc.ie·s Account to the
Salaries Appropriation A~count of the various funds and departments,
amounts sufficient to implement said Compensation Plan and to make
~he necessary adjustments in the departnien~al and fund totals
and sununary pages of said budget to reflect such transfers.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance, being an ordinance required
to be passed for the purpose of complying with the Charter, shall
become effective immediately,.
