ORDINANCE NO. 2307
ORDINANC,E OF THE COUNCIL-OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1316, THE SUBDIVISION
ORDINANCE, BY AMENDING SECTIONS 3.10; 3.33 AND
4.11 THEREOF AND ADDING SECTION 4.50 THERETO,
CHANGING THE FEES FOR FILING SUBDIVISION MAPS
The Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as
follows:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 1316, the Subdivision
Ordinance, is hereby amended by deleting from Section 3.lO(a)
thereof the following sentence:
"A filing fee of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) shall be
required for any subdivision of five (5) or. more lots.11
SECTION 2. That Ordinance No. 1316, the Subdivision
Ordfnan~e,is hereby amended by deleting from Section·3.33
thereof the following $entence:
"Applications therefor shall be accepted only upon pay
-ment of a fi!e of five dollars {$5;00).11
SECTION 3. That Ordinance No. 1316, the Subdivision
Ordinance, is hereby amended by· amer1ding Section 4.11. thereof
to read as follows:-
"4. 11 Except as provided ih Section 3. 33,. and within
one year after approval or condltional approv'~l 'of the
tentative map; the subdivider shall caus~ the subdivision
or a1'ly part thereof, to be surveyed and a final map there
()f to be prepared in conformance-with-the· tentat':i~ve mc,ip_

extension of time for filing of the final map may be
granted by the City Council upon reconnnendation by the
Planning Commission providing written application is
made by the subdivider within one year after action on
the tentative map. In case of a reversion to a~reage
no survey need be made unless deemed necessary by .the
City Engineer."
SECTION 4. That Ordinance· No. 1316, the Subdivision

to be numbered 4. 50 to read ;is fol lows: -
11 4. 50 Filing and Checking Fees. The subdividei:> shall''
pay the following fees-lit the time-_.,of filing the map
indicated:
(a)_ Tentative Map. In every instanc~,-where a tentative
map is filed for the first time, including maps covering
·di vis ions of land into less than five (5) lotf·:~ the fee
shall·be-twenty-five dollais ($25~00) plus five dollars
($5.00) per lot shown on the tentat,ivemap.
{b) Refiling of Tentative Map. ·Where .-the filing of a

sub<hvider to record an approved final map within the "",
time limit-prescribed by Section 4.11.hereof .and the
refiled tentafiye map is sut?stantially identical to_

SECTION 5. This ordinance shall become effective upon
the, expiration of thirty days from its passage.
