HONORING TERÚN AS 2026 OUTSTANDING BUSINESS
WHEREAS, the Palo Alto Chamber of Commerce and the Palo Alto Weekly annually present the
Tall Tree Awards to recognize individuals, nonprofits, and businesses that have made exceptional civic
contributions and demonstrated outstanding service to the Palo Alto community; and
WHEREAS, Terún has distinguished itself as a premier dining destination in Palo Alto, known for
its authentic Italian cuisine, dedication to high-quality ingredients, and commitment to the culinary craft;
and
WHEREAS, Terún’s emphasis on traditional methods, including the use of wood-fired ovens and
thoughtfully sourced ingredients, reflects a deep respect for heritage while contributing to the city’s
vibrant and diverse food culture; and
WHEREAS, beyond its culinary excellence, Terún has demonstrated a strong commitment to the
Palo Alto community by creating a welcoming gathering space, supporting local initiatives, and
contributing to the economic vitality of the city; and
WHEREAS, Terún’s dedication to hospitality, quality, and community engagement exemplifies
the spirit of entrepreneurship and service that the Tall Tree Awards seek to honor.
NOW, THEREFORE I, Vicki Veenker, Mayor of the City of Palo Alto, do hereby recognize and
congratulate Terún as a recipient of the 2026 Tall Tree Award for Outstanding Business, and extend my
sincere appreciation for its contributions to the community and best wishes for continued success.
