HONORING SIGRID PINSKY AS 2026 OUTSTANDING CITIZEN VOLUNTEER
WHEREAS, the Palo Alto Chamber of Commerce and the Palo Alto Weekly annually present the Tall Tree
Awards to recognize individuals, nonprofits, and businesses that have made exceptional civic contributions and
demonstrated outstanding service to the Palo Alto community; and
WHEREAS, Sigrid Pinsky has demonstrated a longstanding commitment to public service through her
extensive volunteer leadership across numerous nonprofit and community-based organizations in Palo Alto; and
WHEREAS, Sigrid Pinsky has served in key leadership roles in community groups advancing civic
engagement, education, and community connection, including the League of Women Voters of Palo Alto, the
Palo Alto PTA Council, the Greenmeadow Community Association, and the Gunn High School PTSA; and
WHEREAS, her dedication to youth and family services is further reflected through her service on the board
of Adolescent Counseling Services and her leadership in organizing its major community fundraiser, Spring
Sounds, for multiple years; and
WHEREAS, Sigrid Pinsky continues to contribute to the vitality of the Palo Alto community through her
ongoing involvement with the League of Women Voters of Palo Alto and as a member of the Palo Alto
Community Fund Board of Directors; and
WHEREAS, alongside her professional career in law firm administration, Sigrid Pinsky has exemplified a
deep and sustained commitment to volunteerism, civic responsibility, and community leadership and her tireless
efforts, collaborative spirit, and dedication to improving the lives of others embody the values of service and
community that define the City of Palo Alto.
NOW, THEREFORE I, Vicki Veenker, Mayor of the City of Palo Alto, do hereby recognize and
congratulate Sigrid Pinsky as the recipient of the 2026 Tall Tree Award for Outstanding Citizen Volunteer, and
extend my sincere appreciation for her exceptional service and enduring contributions to the community.
