The Council or the City or Palo Alto DO ORDAIN as follows:
Section 1.. A :municipa1. election is hereby called to
be held on the second T"t.lesday of :filay, being May 11, 1937, for
. the purpose .. o'f electing five cou:oc:ilmen a·s members of the Coun
cil of the City of ?a.lo Al to,, as provided by the Freeholders 1
Charter cf said city.. Said election shall be conducted e.s p:l:"o
vided by Article II, Part V,. Codif.ied Ord:~nance No. 3 of the City
of Palo~Alto; provided, however, that the election precincts and

as provided·by the election notice herein.

lish this ordinance and notice of said election in the Daily Palo
Al to Times on the 4th, 5th, 6th,. 7th, Sth and 10th days of l\fay,

-fied Ordinan.ce No. 3 of the City of Palo Al to, for holding such
municipal elections. The general el~~ction laws of the State of
California, so far as the same may be~ applicable, shall apply;
provided, however, that instructions and sample ballots need not
be mailed to the voters; provided,. further,, that no abse:nt voters
